During WWII, the vineyard site was an airfield used to train Spitfire pilots and this is recognised in the name of the wine. The wine is made from the best parcels of one of Marlborough’s stand out sites and illustrates perfectly the trademark fruit intensity, mouth watering acidity and crisp dry finish that have made Kiwi Sauvignon the most popular white style for quality minded Brit’s.
Our serving suggestion: A Kim Crawford special. Sipping it in the garden? Try accompanying it with a Roll on Ayrshire Bacon. Don’t forget the fried tomato.
